"Little" No More - by McP

Alison and I are so appreciative of my niece Liza who came along with us so that Alina and Mac would not have to stay with a stranger during our daily trips to Esik to meet with Cal. Seeing little Cal in his early stages of development has made us both realize how "big" Mac and Alina have become in what seems like no time at all.
Since the children cannot go with us to see Calvin, they wait like everyone else for photos and videos. Tonight at a pleasant outdoor cafe near our apartment we had supper, and Alison brought out the video camera with today's images of the baby. Check out the looks on the faces of "Big Brother" and "Big Sister" as they see their little brother-to-be. Excitement and smiles all around! I just wanted to share it with you.
The daily drive to Esik is a bit wild. The road is wide leading out of Almaty, but has only one lane dividing it. Everyone going in a certain direction crowd and basically fight for position. It is always white knuckles passenger time, as we hang onto either the handgrip or each other! We saw five serious accidents on Monday alone, and I witnessed a car crash through a fence and into a tree as I walked down the road in front of the Baby House in Esik!
Our driver, Emil, is very careful and is a good defensive driver, and that phrase really means something over here!
Only two more days of the wild ride to Esik, then on Friday our little Cal will be allowed to stay with us in Almaty until court and the rest of our stay! That is when we will all start having more fun. We will return to Esik at least once for court at the end of this month.
Love to all, and thanks for the thoughts and prayers. - McP
