15 Days Done!!!!

Just a quick note - with a cute video of course.....

Today marks the end of our 15 day post court waiting period. So all is final!!!

Cal and I hung out today while Ken and the kids went to the Lufthansa office to get Cal’s plane ticket home. It’s a done deal and they think we will be able to get a bulk head seat. This will allow us to have a bassinet that hangs on the wall where Cal can hopefully sleep. She said the flight as of now has very few people on it. We hope that stays that way and that we can spread out and have some extra room. We won’t know for sure about the bulk head seat until we check in at the airport.

We will leave Almaty at 3:00 a.m. on the 25th. We arrive in Frankfurt at 5:15 a.m. (8 hours later). We leave Frankfurt at 10:30 a.m. We arrive in Atlanta at 2:30 p.m. EST (10 hours later). So we leave and arrive on the 25th.

The family in which Ms. Paik from Chattanooga put us in touch with called us this afternoon. They have invited us to their house this evening for dinner. We are so excited. It’ll be nice to be in a home environment and get to visit. The meal at the Hyatt with them was nice but we didn’t get that much of chance to talk & visit.

We have a meeting tomorrow with the facilitators. I think it is just to sign some documents in front of a notary. We will then travel to Esik on Tuesday to sign some additional papers.

After this the mad dash is on to get all of the necessary steps accomplished. Cal must obtain a passport, exit visa, entry visa, medical examination and visit with the U.S. Embassy here is Almaty.

This Thursday is a special day as Cal will have his first birthday. We look forward to a celebration.

Enjoy the videos of Cal’s new tricks. Happy Birthday Jan!
